J. Justin Meehan
J. Justin Meehan, a trial attorney for more than
thirty five years, is well known in the St. Louis metropolitan area for his commitment to civil
rights and the community. Mr. Meehan is a world class martial artist and instructor, who applies the same discipline, tenacity, and perseverance to his law practice.
Mr. Meehan concentrates his practice in civil
rights, criminal defense, auto accidents, and workers’ compensation.
He is admitted to state courts of Missouri and Illinois, the United State District Courts for Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, and the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit.
Mr. Meehan earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University, cum laude.
John Meehan is a recent graduate from Drake University Law School, where he earned certificates in Constitutional & Civil Rights Law, Litigation, and Public Service.
John gained experience in Criminal Defense through representing clients in the Drake University Criminal Defense Clinic, where he handled OWI, Assault, Possession, and other criminal cases.
John also gained experience in Business Law, Intellectual Property, Copyright, Administrative,
and Legislative Regulation as a Legal Intern for Zuffa, LLC (d/b/a The Ultimate Fighting Championships) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
John is assisting Mr. Meehan with his solo
practice while studying for the February 2014
Bar Examination, and upon passing will begin
his own practice beside his father.
